Advanced strategies for Raise an Anomaly
Stack loops, rotate servers, and stop buying passes too early.
The Raise an Anomaly loop is simple on paper: steal, hatch, feed, collect, upgrade. Advanced play is about overlapping that loop so you never have idle time in any phase. This page assumes you have completed getting started, understand how to steal eggs, and have at least one adult printing cash. If you are still losing eggs at the crib, finish the beginner guide first.
The overlapping loops principle
A single sequential loop has dead time: you are either waiting for an egg to hatch, waiting for a baby to feed, or walking back to a crib. Overlapping loops eliminates that dead time by running two or three phases at once.
Minimum overlap setup: one egg hatching while you steal a second. Better setup: one adult collecting cash while one egg hatches while you steal a third. The tycoon prints money when something is always growing, not when you are watching one slot.
Hatch slot strategy
Your first lab upgrade should be a second hatch slot if the node exists. One slot means one egg. Two slots means you can always have one egg growing while you are in the world stealing the next. Three slots means one adult, one hatching, one being stolen.
Do not fill all slots with starving babies. Leave one empty so you can grab and place immediately. A hungry baby in a slot is a dead loop; an empty slot is a ready opportunity.
Server hopping for fresh cribs
If a server feels empty of parents or all cribs are occupied, try hopping to a new server. There is no published respawn timer for cribs, but player observation suggests fresh servers have fresh spawns.
Before you hop: confirm your current adults are fed and your hatching egg is placed. Server hops mid-growth may or may not preserve progress — this is unconfirmed, so do not test it with your only egg.
Hop strategically, not frantically. A bad hop wastes travel time. A good hop puts you in a server with multiple unoccupied cribs.
Food stock management at scale
When you have two or three feeding slots, food consumption doubles or triples. Stock up before you leave the lab. If you come back to two starving babies and empty trays, you lost more than one feeding cycle — you lost overlap efficiency.
X2 Food Stock doubles your gathering yield. It only matters if your bottleneck is food. If your bottleneck is steal timing or hatch slots, the pass does nothing for the actual constraint. Use the gamepass planner to decide.
When to buy X2 Money
X2 Money doubles cash you already generate. It does not create cash from nothing. Buy it only when:
- You have at least one adult that generates cash without prompting.
- Pickup is the boring part of your session.
- You have already optimized food and hatch slots.
Buying X2 Money on an empty plot is paying 399 Robux to double zero. The pass follows the loop; it does not replace it.
When to buy X2 Growth Speed
X2 Growth Speed halves egg wait time. It matters only if:
- You have food ready when eggs hatch.
- You have hatch slots to fill.
- Egg wait is your bottleneck, not food or pickup.
If you buy growth speed but your babies still starve, you bought the wrong pass. If you buy growth speed but only have one slot, you underutilize the multiplier.
Multi-slot optimization
With two hatch slots and one adult:
- Keep the adult fed and collecting.
- Place a new egg in slot two.
- Steal during the hatch wait.
- When the hatch pops, feed immediately.
- When the adult finishes a cash cycle, collect and restock food.
- Place the next stolen egg in the now-empty slot.
This rhythm should produce cash every few minutes with no single phase taking more than a few minutes. If a phase stretches, something is starving or a slot is empty.
The one rule that never changes
Do not buy a pass to fix a broken loop. Fix the loop first with lab upgrades, food management, and steal practice. The pass multiplies what works; it does not repair what does not.
Come back to this page after lab upgrades and how to make money. The advanced version is just the basic loop running without dead time.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for stealing eggs, hatching, and raising anomalies.
How many hatch slots should I aim for?
At least two. Three if food and cash are flowing and you are actively stealing.
Does server hopping reset hatch progress?
Unconfirmed. Place eggs before hopping and report findings on updates if you test it.
Should I buy X2 Money before X2 Growth?
Only if pickup is your bottleneck and you already have an adult generating cash.
What is the most efficient loop?
One adult collecting, one egg hatching, one egg being stolen. No idle slots.
